New Faculty The MSU Department of Economics welcomed three faculty members – Professors Hannah Bae, Konan Hara and Guangbin Hong. Awards and Recognitions Professor Stacy Dickert-Conlin named Interim Frederick S. Addy Distinguished Chair. Professor Hanzhe Zhang named Interim Mark A. Simon Distinguished Associate Professor. The late Professor Ron Fisher will be honored at the Annual Conference on Taxation. Published Professor Hanzhe Zhang co-authored “Changes in marital sorting: Theory and evidence from the US,” published as the lead article in the journal Journal of Political Economy. Professor Hanzhe Zhang and affiliate faculty Amanda Chuan co-authored “Pay it forward: Theory and experiment,” published in the journal Games and Economic Behavior. Economics doctoral candidate John Reaves co-authored, “More Care, More Workers? Gauging the Impact of Child Care Access on Labor Force Participation,” published in the journal Social Sciences.
