This research area focuses on applied microeconomic research that typically employs empirical methods to understand our world. In addition to covering core fields of Development, Environmental, Labor, and Public, this research area includes empirical research in Industrial Organization and International Trade, as well as numerous subfields such as Aging, Education, and Health.
The hallmark of this research group is using state-of-the-art empirical methods to carefully study applied microeconomic issues. We directly tackle empirical challenges such as causality, policy evaluation, and data quality while carefully linking our empirical analysis to microeconomic theory.
