Soren Anderson is an Associate Professor of Economics and Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. He has studied a range of issues in energy and environmental economics, including markets for oil, gasoline, and biofuels, energy efficiency in cars, the political economy of carbon pricing, and energy transition in the residential and transportation sectors. He holds a ... Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in economics from Macalester College. His research is published in the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, and other leading journals. He is appointed as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and previously served on the board of directors for the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, as a visiting researcher at the Energy Institute at Haas at UC Berkeley, as a staff economist with the White House Council of Economic Advisers, and as a research assistant at Resources for the Future.
