This month, we celebrate a new chair, new faculty publications, media mentions and the high caliber of our students. 

Publications  

Professor Steven Haider had his research article, "Correcting for Misclassified Binary Regressors Using Instrumental Variables," published in the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics. 

Professor Hanzhe Zhang published "Reputational bargaining with external resolution opportunities" in the Review of Economic Studies. 

Recognitions 

Professor Hanzhe Zhang was selected co-editor for the Canadian Journal of Economics, a 3-year term. 

Professor Scott Imberman begins his term as department chair.

Professor Scott Imberman’s recent paper "Spillovers from Public Health Policies in Schools: Evidence from COVID Mask Mandates" was released by the National Bureau of Economic Research, and featured in an LATimes article “Study finds removing school mask mandates contributed to 22,000 U.S. COVID deaths in a year.”
