Margaret (Peg) Koenigs
Margaret K. (Peg) Koenigs is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She oversees the Bank's finance division and is a member of the Management Committee. In her role, she is responsible for accounting, accounts payable, budget, planning, procurement and the central business administration function for budget and cost accounting.
Before assuming her current position, Koenigs served in a number of capacities at the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank. She was Senior Vice President and General Auditor, reporting to the Audit Committee of the Bank's Board of Directors, and Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for compensation, benefits, staffing and training functions. She also served as Assistant Vice President of Financial and Management Services with responsibility for accounts payables, budget and payroll activities. Koenigs joined the Chicago Fed in 1983 as a Budget Analyst.
Before joining the Federal Reserve Bank, Koenigs was a Cost Analyst at the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad.
Koenigs received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Economics major from Michigan State University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Koenigs is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance.
