Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, 219 South Harrison Road, East Lansing (rooms range from $111.00 to $151.00 + 13% tax)   Research early as there is a limited number of rooms available and the discounted rate is based on availability and is only in effect until May 7, 2018.

This hotel is located on MSU’s campus.  There is an Estimate reception held there on Friday evening and there is a dorm complex directly across from this hotel that serves food until midnight at a reasonable price.  There is also a restaurant in the hotel itself and a bar-restaurant that is just a 3 minute walk north of the hotel.

-Click on the “Reservations” link at the top of the page
-Select "Check availability and book now!" link
-Enter arrival, departure, rooms, & number of adults
-Select “Click Here for Special Rates” and enter the GROUP Code:  1806ESTIMA

Hotel prices here start at $148.00 per night.  Good place if you plan to share a room as the rooms are bigger than at Kellogg.  They have a shuttle service from Lansing airport but it must be reserved (call 1.517.337.4440)  The bus from Detroit Metro Airport (Michigan Flyer) departs/arrives in front of this hotel.

The above two hotels were blocked before the extra day (Monday optional training) was added.  In both cases, they did not have rooms available for Sunday night.  The below have rooms available from Thursday night through Sunday night (checking out Monday).

TownePlace Suites by Marriott, 2855 Hannah Blvd, East Lansing, MI 48823
Studio Room:  $109 plus tax (13%)
2 Bedroom:  $149 plus tax (13%)
To reserve at room at one of the above rates, call 517.203.1000 (cannot book it at this rate on line).  Tell them you want to make a reservation and there is a group rate for your reservation that is called ESTIMATE.
No shuttle is available from this hotel.  This site is 2.3 miles from the place the short course will be taught (Erickson Hall, 620 Farm Lane, East Lansing).  So if you stay here, you might want to have LYFT or Uber available on your phone to book.  If you elect to stay at this location and are interested, we can set up a list of people staying there so you can communicate with each other to talk about sharing costs for transportation.

Candlewood Suites, 3545 Forest Road, Lansing MI 48910
Studio Room:  $105/night (+13% tax)
1 Bedroom Room:  $135/night (+13% tax)
The discounted rate is based on availability and ends on May 17, 2018.
This site is 2.8 miles from the place the short course will be taught (Erickson Hall, 620 Farm Lane, East Lansing).  They do have a shuttle but it only holds six people so it could mean waiting 10-15 minutes for the shuttle to return for more people.  You need to book your shuttle service on or before May 25, 2018 by calling 517.351.8181 and telling them you need to book a shuttle for an upcoming stay.  You can book your room by contacting the front desk at 517.351.8181 or by logging on to their website www.cwsuites.com and entering the group code “EST” in the “group code” field after you have entered your arrival and departure dates. When you click “check availability” the preferred group rates will populate.
